Reggie Edwards is the Executive Director of The Encouraging Place.  She is a Raleigh, North Carolina native, who attended Fayetteville State University and is a graduate of Justice Fellowship College of Theology.

Reggie Edwards’ call is to the inner city.  She joined Building Together Ministries, in 1994, where she coordinated the FRIENDS (youth) mentoring program, the Women’s Outreach, the Racial Reconciliation Supper Club & the Christian Community Development Outreach. One of her passions is the people of Haiti, where she ministers as often as she can.

Her heart’s cry is for God’s girls…girls of all ages, but particularly women in need of a loving Father.  In September 2009, Reggie launched The Encouraging Place, an outgrowth of the women’s ministry she started at Building Together.  This outreach provides safe places for women to gather for support, encouragement, inspiration and to experience the love of Christ.  Hundreds of women are transformed through the “Summer Camp for Women”, one of the outreaches of The Encouraging Place.

God loves His girls!  Her ministry is to seek out and gather God’s girls and share the Love of Jesus with women everywhere — from young single moms to senior citizens; working women and jobless women; women who are living large and those trying to make ends meet; homeless women and those coming out of incarceration.   Red, yellow, black and white all are precious in God’s sight.  It is said that it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a sister to understand a sister!!!!!

Reggie Edwards is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and a Certified Life Breakthrough Coach.
